In Mona’s oil paintings, she perceives nature as was supposed to be kept, free from pollution. Thus, she uses vibrant colors to emphasize clarity and purity in the realism style. Painting in realism has been always my challenge since childhood with no wavering.
Firstly, canvas is treated professionally. To be specific, canvas treatment is applied two months prior to painting and a year after work is done. Each painting is created with many fine layers. That is being said, Mona uses Sable brushes as small as size 18 zeros. The brushes are made from the finest quality of horse tail. To enhance the outcome, she uses high quality pigments of colors purchased from Italy, England and Germany. This practice creates richness and natural depth which gives the classical look. Therefore, this technique insures the longevity and vibrancy of paintings for hundreds years. Most importantly, the colors will not turn yellowish with time. Secondly, all limited edition are numbered and signed only by Mona Youssef. Certainly, Mona’s artwork is not available neither is sold by a third party. After all, images of paintings herewith, are in low resolution for copyright protection, thank you for understanding. Majority of people find it easier and enjoyable to shop online.
